System launched to encourage buying British
Motors.co.uk and vansunited.co.uk have developed a scheme to encourage buying British cars.
A new system to highlight which cars and vans are made in Britain has been launched by Motors.co.uk and vansunited.co.uk.
The two websites' Motoring Honours List clearly shows its customers the vehicles that have been produced on home soil.
Buyers will be able to see these cars and vans on the companies' online portals as they are awarded a clearly-displayed MBE (Made Better in England) mark.
The initiative was launched to coincide with Saint George's Day and the Budget - and comes after a poll of customers revealed 66 per cent of motorists are keen to purchase models from this country in order to give the domestic automotive industry a boost.
Katie Armitage, marketing manager for Motors.co.uk, commented: "There are still more cars and vans manufactured in England than any other European country and buyers want this to continue."
Personal contract hire customers may decide they want to use the MBE system to help them show their support for the country's vehicle manufacturing industry.
